The Mission Of She Is Emboldened
Our Mission at She Is Emboldened (SIE) is to help women grow in their relationship with Jesus and apply the Bible to their lives. This includes resources for how to study the Bible, how to apply theology to your everyday life, and how to lead others. We hope to encourage women to follow the Lord with boldness and grace.
We see in scripture that when the Holy Spirit was at work in people, they demonstrated a boldness that can only be explained by God working in and through them. It requires courage to follow Jesus well, and we pray that Christ-followers would have a dependence on God that allows them to do far beyond what they could ever accomplish on their own. We also pray that SIE would be a place to fill women with the courage to be faithful to Jesus in all aspects of their lives.
Our main passion is to show people that following Jesus is so much more than going to church and doing good things. It’s neither of those things! You’ll get lots of glimpses into how we do family, marriage, friendship, work, and more because of our faith in Jesus.
Who is SIE for?
Build you up and send you out. That’s the heartbeat of SIE. We want to encourage you to go out into your homes and communities as influences of joy, hope, and strength. We want to remind you of what’s true. That you were put here on purpose and for a purpose by God.
We’ll wrestle with questions about faith, motherhood, parenting, marriage, and friendship. We’ll brainstorm how to apply theology practically in daily life. We want this to be a community that cultivates world-changers, in ourselves and the people around us.
If you’re skeptical or unsure about Jesus, you are welcome here! We’d love to have you ask questions and get a firsthand look into what it looks like for us to follow the way of Jesus.
Meet Jen
Hey there! I’m a wife, mama of four kiddos, and physical therapist who specializes in working with individuals with neurological disorders. I am active in my local church by serving in kids ministry and leading a small group with my husband. We have served in volunteer ministry leadership roles for the last 7 years together. My passion is showing people the beauty and adventure that comes with following Jesus.
I believe in the power of deep, intentional community. I believe that creating a family culture centered on a joint mission and purpose is the way to thrive in your household. One of the other things I get excited about is teaching others how to read the Bible and apply it to their lives. In my spare time, I love getting in a tough workout with friends, going for a long run, being on the water, and spending time with my family. The privilege to encourage others is a passion of mine!
