Some of my favorite kids resources! I’ll continue to add to these as SIE grows. These are all resources we have used and have also been enjoyed by many of our friends and family.
The Jesus Storybook Bible: Sally Lloyd Jones
This children’s Bible is poetic and beautiful in it’s presentation of the gospel through stories of the Old and New Testament. Our kids love the illustrations and the creative ways that Sally makes familiar stories come alive in a new way. My husband and I also love this book and it ministers to us as we read it with our kiddos. Find it here.
Raising Worry Free Girls: Sissy Goff
Anxiety is becoming more and more common in kids, especially in girls. This book is a great resource to equip parents of girls to navigate times and struggles of worry. I love Sissy’s heart for kiddos and she is truly the best! Sissy is the Director of Child and Adolescent Counseling at Daystar Counseling Ministries in Nashville, Tennessee. When God Made You: Matthew Turner
This is my favorite children’s book. Hands down. I buy this as a gift for every expectant Mama and my kids and I have it memorized because it’s a favorite of theirs, too. The words are simply beautiful. Find it here.
God Made All Of Me: Justin and Lindsey Holcomb
This is a more practical book in some ways. The main purpose is to educate children about their bodies and protect them from abuse. The authors emphasize that all people are created in the image of God and deserve respect. It’s a great first step for talking to your children about this topic. Find it here.
