The framework for the journal is based on the family discipleship approaches that Jen and her husband use with their children. This approach to Bible Study is something students can carry with them into adulthood.

2. How do I know what scripture or Bible stories to read for each daily journal page?
If you are using a children’s Bible, I recommend one story per journal page. If you’re using a standard adult Bible, I recommend using any amount of scripture you prefer. This can be anywhere from one section of a chapter to an entire chapter. Whatever rate you would like to read the Bible at!

It can feel overwhelming to figure out how to get kids to study the Bible and this study guide breaks it down and makes it so much easier. There are some beautiful and helpful title pages between the study guide pages as well. An awesome resource for kids!

I’m so excited to start this journal with my 8 (almost 9) year old daughter. I love that this is a journal but also a learning resource. The layout is simple and easy for kids to learn so that they can do this independently. I forsee her using it for a week at a time then us taking time over the weekend to look at her entries and discuss them. The extra topic pages are also wonderful for digging deeper on key topics.
